For over 30 years the Industrial Areas Foundation has been holding national training sessions for members of broad-based organizations across the country.  These sessions provide a thorough introduction to the organizing practices and principles developed by Industrial Areas Foundation member organizations in its 55-year history.  National Training is 7 days long and is held in June or July each year.  The IAF Northwest now conducts a 5-day Regional Institute each Fall.

National and Regional Institutes are intended for two groups of people:
1) Leaders of institutions that are members of the Sound Alliance or are actively exploring membership;

2) Leaders or members of those organizations who are playing an active role related to the Alliance and who have attended the local Leadership Institutes.
